Grade cards/progress reports are issued four times a school year. Informal assessments are conducted on a much more frequent basis. Parent-teacher conferences and home visits are held throughout the school year. Individual education plan (IEP) meetings are scheduled for parents by case managers; parents have the option to request an IEP meeting at any time to review student progress towards the accomplishment of identified goals.
Consistent parent/teacher communication is encouraged regarding student progress. The responsibility of the communication rests with both the parent and the teachers. Grade card/progress report information should be viewed as feedback for parents; the information should be used to guide continued student achievement/progress.
